Tracker oustrips the OJEU, again
3 May 2010
BiP Solutions Ltd – the leading provider of cutting-edge solutions and services that help optimise supply chain value – has announced that its Tracker business intelligence service has outstripped the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) in terms of numbers of contracts published, cementing its reputation as one of Europe’s leading providers of public sector contracts information.
BiP’s Tracker service is an essential tool for those looking to win public and private sector tenders, whether from the UK or worldwide. Supported by a dedicated Business Intelligence Research Team, Tracker offers customers access to an unrivalled database of open contract opportunities and awards from over 4500 unique sources worldwide.
Having received the latest research findings from research company Marketing Management International, BiP can now reveal that during a 12-week period between January-April 2010, Tracker contained up to 291% more UK and Irish contracts than the OJEU, with an average figure of 166.9% more than the OJEU recorded.
For the same period in 2009, the average figure was 122.36% more UK and Irish contracts than the OJEU, marking a growth of 36% year on year. This means that Tracker regularly contains many more than double the UK and Irish opportunities of the OJEU, and on occasion well over three times as many. The figures underline the essential role that Tracker plays for its thousands of subscribers across the UK, who rely upon it to identify all sources of contracts information, and not just those published within the OJEU.
In addition, the research compared Tracker's Scottish content with the Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) for the first time. The findings revealed that during the same January-April period, Tracker contained up to 123.94% more Scottish contracts than the PCS service, with an average figure of 66.77% recorded.
Ron Burges, CEO of BiP Solutions, said: “BiP has played a vital role in making UK businesses aware of the opportunities available to them and these figures have shown the crucial role that Tracker plays in this process. Increasing competition for public contracts has also helped deliver greater value for money to the taxpayer. We look forward to providing businesses of all sizes with many more opportunities in the future through our Tracker service and our diverse range of other products and services.”
