BiP Solutions reports on a year of events success

BiP Solutions Ltd – the leading provider of cutting-edge solutions and services that help optimise supply chain value – has reported on a hugely successful year of events throughout 2009, with an impressive 35% increase in delegate numbers.
The Glasgow-based company hosted over 180 events during 2009, with a record 16,758 delegates attending. The diverse range of BiP-led events includes everything from small seminars to full-scale national conferences such as Procurex Scotland, held in October at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow. This major procurement event alone hosted over 3000 delegates.
BiP's events aim to help buyers and suppliers engage more effectively to improve the way in which they procure or supply, which in turn opens up the supply chain. BiP events cover a wide range of procurement subjects, including EU and UK regulations and supplier engagement for both the public and private sectors. The majority of BiP events are led by BiP’s dedicated Procurement Advice and Support Service (PASS), which helps buyers and suppliers understand the public procurement rules. BiP’s events management service hosts a wide range of client events, including Annual Conferences for the Society of Procurement Officers in Local Government, Health Care Supply Association, London Contracts and Supplies Group and Central Buying Consortium, as well as Procurement Training Workshops.
The company also hosts two annual Awards ceremonies, the Government Opportunities (GO) magazine National and Scottish Awards for Excellence in Public Procurement, which recognise and reward excellence in the procurement industry.

A number of new events were launched during 2009, including the Supply SME Engagement programme, which consists of a series of informative regional workshops, roadshows and conferences on all aspects of supplying to the public sector.
2010 looks set to be an even busier year for the BiP events calendar, with the launch of Procurex National.
Procurex National, to be held on 9 and 10 March at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, is set to be the UK’s leading public sector procurement exhibition. The event will bring together a vast array of buyers and suppliers who actively participate in the ever-changing procurement marketplace, with the aim of helping the public sector buy more efficiently and effectively. The event is expected to attract up to 5000 delegates.
