BiP Solutions launches the all new Tracker V8

1 July 2010

BiP Solutions (BiP) – the leading provider of cutting-edge solutions and services that help optimise supply chain value – has announced the launch of Tracker V8 – an updated, more interactive and refined version of the company’s flagshipTracker business intelligence service. The service has aimed not only to develop the existing Tracker tools, but also to provide customers with new features to enhance their processes for identifying new business.

The Tracker service is an essential tool for those looking to win public and private sector tenders, from the UK and Republic of Ireland, Europe or worldwide. Supported by a dedicated Business Intelligence Research Team, Tracker offers customers access to an unrivalled database of open contract opportunities and awards from over 4500 unique sources worldwide.

The business intelligence service, which has been serving UK businesses since 1999, has achieved increasing success year on year. Evidence of this came with the recent announcement that between January and April 2010, Tracker contained up to 291% more UK and Irish contracts than the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).

Tracker V8 has benefited from significant investment and development to offer the customer a range of new and improved features which include a dynamic user interface; a refined industry sector search; the enrichment of Estimated Annual Value (EAV) of contract opportunities; cutting-edge interactive mapping technology; private sector Market Leads; and even more public sector opportunities than before.

The new Tracker V8 service is particularly relevant for SMEs, which will find the Google Mapping, contract flagging and the EAV features especially useful.

The new interactive Google Mapping feature helps users to identify contracts by location and also potential clusters of contracts whether in the UK or abroad. This feature provides users with a powerful method of analysing opportunity trends by location.

The contract flagging feature is an important service component, again of particular use to SMEs. The new functionality was developed to highlight contracts which are below the EU procurement thresholds and therefore considered to be SME-friendly. This business tool is in line with recent government policy in this area as defined in the Glover Review.

The EAV feature is a unique, forward-thinking tool and Tracker is the first service of its kind to provide this highly valuable information. The EAV provides an estimated annual contract value, meaning that a contract with a total value which may have originally appeared too high for an SME to tender for is actually within reach.

An additional new feature is the Market Leads tool which provides users with a reliable and targeted intelligence on where new business opportunities lie. Market Leads provides an early heads-up on potential new developments which may require the products or services a user’s business provides. With this component users can gain first-mover advantage over competitors.

BiP CEO Ron Burges said: “Tracker V8 demonstrates the customer-centric approach BiP takes to its products and services, with new features and functionality designed to help organisations of all sizes grow their business. BiP has invested significant resources and effort into the development of the Tracker service over the years, and everyone in the company is excited about the advances we have made with this latest version.”
