BiP Solutions and Scottish Government in MS charity partnership
6 April 2009
A charitable joint venture between BiP Solutions and the Scottish Government has donated £10,000 to the Multiple Sclerosis Society Scotland – the country’s largest charity for people affected by MS.
The donation represents a percentage of the revenue from BiP’s hugely successful Procurex 2008 Exhibition and Conference, and marks the second annual charitable contribution from the partnership.
At a ceremony held at BiP’s prestigious new Medius headquarters in Glasgow’s Pacific Quay on 3 April, BiP’s Marketing and Sales Director Simon Burges presented a cheque to Glenda Mackenzie of MS Scotland, who were selected as the worthy recipient by Scottish Government Finance Secretary John Swinney.
BiP Solutions has adopted a ‘home and away’ approach to charitable causes, in order to ensure that both local and overseas organisations benefit from any donations made. As part of the company’s 25th anniversary celebrations, it is raising funds for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow, while in 2008 the company supported Oxfam in its bid to help children in Kenya and the Philippines.
