Procurex: growing business through collaboration

Procurex – Scotland’s first business to business and business to government conference and exhibition – is gaining momentum.
The two-day event, organised by BiP Solutions, incorporates the Scottish Government’s National Public Procurement Conference and the Government Opportunities (GO) magazine Scottish Business Summit. It takes place at the SECC in Glasgow on 29-30 October 2008.
Procurex is a unique occasion, enabling companies of all sizes to build relationships and develop business opportunities with both the public and private sectors. The conference and business summit feature a host of high-profile names from the Scottish public procurement and business sectors, and also focus on opportunities arising from the London 2012 Olympics and the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
The evening of 29 October also sees the presentation of the inaugural GO Awards Scotland, which recognise achievement and innovation within public procurement. Nick Bowd, the Director of the Scottish Procurement Directorate, has hailed the Awards as “an excellent opportunity to showcase the very best of Scottish procurement talent, and to demonstrate the advances being made in this sector”.
