BiP leads the way as published contract notices reach two million
12 February 2008
BiP Solutions has cemented its reputation as one of Europe’s leading providers of public sector contracts information by publishing its two millionth contract notice since January 1998.
The contract notice, issued by Bury Metropolitan Borough Council, was for graffiti removal services and had a value of up to £100,000. It joins thousands of public sector contracts published daily through BiP’s market-leading contract information services, which offer comprehensive coverage of all values of contract, from small, local requirements to multimillion-pound international projects.
BiP’s in-house contracts research team search thousands of sources from the UK and overseas each day to provide essential business intelligence to all sizes of organisation; from SMEs through to multi-nationals. A third of FTSE100 companies use BiP services, while BiP also manages the electronic distribution and reporting of contracts information for over 500 UK public bodies, including the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR), the Ministry of Defence, the Home Office and the Scottish Government.
While contracts information remains core to BiP’s offering, the company is a provider of a diverse range of public procurement solutions, and advises organisations across the UK and internationally on how to achieve best practice in this complex and frequently changing environment.
Ron Burges, CEO of BiP Solutions, said: “If you consider the combined value of the two million contracts we have published since 1998, that is a huge amount of business that has been generated from the public sector in the UK and internationally.
“BiP has played a vital role in making UK businesses aware of these opportunities and, by increasing competition for public contracts, has also helped deliver greater value for money to the taxpayer. We look forward to providing businesses of all sizes with many more opportunities in the future.”
