BiP Solutions included on Scottish marketing services framework

02 January 2009

BiP Solutions is delighted to announce that it has made the roster of preferred suppliers for events services to the Scottish Government and other public sector bodies such as Scottish Enterprise and VisitScotland under the new Marketing Services Framework.

A feature of the new Framework is that a greater number of public sector organisations will be able to access the roster – the aim is to generate greater economies of scale whilst ensuring a higher quality standard and better coordination of marketing and events activity across the public sector.

Established in 1984 to facilitate business between the public and private sectors, BiP Solutions has an excellent track record in events management. The company manages over 150 events each year and is responsible for organising the annual Scottish Government National Procurement Conference and Exhibition, which in 2008 ran concurrently with Procurex, Scotland’s first combined business-to-business and business-to-government event.

Simon Burges, Sales and Marketing Director of BiP Solutions said: “Events management is an important part of BiP’s business, and we are very pleased that our expertise and experience in this area has been recognised with the inclusion of the company on this framework contract. We have delivered a number of successful events for public sector bodies across the UK in the past and look forward to continuing to work with Scottish organisations on their events in future."

Announcing the new Framework, Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth John Swinney said: "Procurement can make a significant contribution to sustainable economic growth in Scotland. We must deliver benefits to the people of Scotland through value for money for taxpayers, improved services and economic opportunities for our businesses. That is what this Framework will do. I am confident the Framework represents the best that the marketing and communications industry can offer."

The estimated value of the Framework is between £40 million and £80 million. It will commence on 1 January 2009 for an initial period of 27 months with an option to extend for a further 12 months.
