Collections Team Leader

BiP Solutions is a rapidly expanding, innovative and highly influential media business, expert in connecting business and government.  We are looking to recruit an experienced Collections Team Leader to join our established Accounts & Finance department.

Having moved into our new state-of-the-art offices based at the heart of Glasgow's Media Centre at Pacific Quay last year this is a genuine opportunity to really make a mark for yourself by joining an organisation which has grown to employ in excess of 235 people with an annual turnover in excess of £12m.

Reporting into our Accounts Team Manager, the key function of the role will be the development and performance management of a team of Collections Agents.  The role will also assume responsibility for our Sales Ledger staff.

Your principal responsibilities will include the effective development of the team to maximise cash flow activity. 

This will be achieved through:

  • Developing the team work towards pre defined KPIs
  • Conducting coaching sessions
  • Monitoring call quality
  • 1-2-1 performance reviews. 
  • Conducting formal performance reviews
  • Identifying development opportunities across the team
  • Dealing with escalated calls

As the successful candidate, it is essential that you will have gained strong industry experience with a proven track record in debt recovery or collections. Knowledge of both ledgers and bank reconciliation would be highly desirable.  Importantly, you will also have a genuine passion for working with and developing a team to achieve results.
