Sales Manager – Public Sector Solutions

As one of Europe's leading providers of public sector procurement solutions we are looking to recruit a Sales Manager to head up our Public Sector Solutions team.

With plans to move to the new state-of-the art Medius building located at the heart of Glasgow's Media Centre at Pacific Quay, Glasgow, this is a genuine opportunity to really make a mark for yourself by joining an organisation which has grown to employ 190 people.

This is an exciting role which provides a rare opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to play a pivotal role in driving the business forward to the next level.  Reporting directly into the Sales & Marketing Director, you will be responsible for the mentoring and development of a team of internal Sales Executives and field based Business Development Managers.

As an experienced Sales Manager, you will be tasked with motivating and inspiring your team to achieve challenging targets on a daily basis.  To this end, you will be passionate about developing your people and will lead by example at all times.

You will form part of the Senior Management team and have responsibility for the effective management and control of the department budget whilst also playing a key role in the operational strategy of the business.  You will be responsible for planning and implementing innovative sales strategies and then evaluating them to achieve optimum results.

As the successful candidate, you will bring with you a strong background within a B2B sales environment and a track record of success.  Knowledge of the public sector arena and a background in B2G sales would be highly desirable.  You will be an excellent communicator who can build effective working relationships across all levels.  Above all else, you will approach this role with enthusiasm, commitment and a genuine desire to succeed.
